Yellow/Black (or Little Dragons)
The primary purpose of your demo is to demonstrate mastery of Earth. The demo should consist of 4-6 techniques. You may base the techniques on ones that you have learned in white/yellow class, but must interpret them in your own way. It is helpful to take the beginning of one technique and transition to the end of another as a starting point for inspiration. You may also try thinking of a different attack leading into a technique, or another variation on the curriculum material. Your earth demo may include a ground technique but no weapons.
Blue/Black
The primary purpose of your demo is to demonstrate mastery of Water. The demo should consist of 5-7 techniques. You may base the techniques on ones that you have learned in blue/red class, but must interpret them in your own way. It is helpful to take the beginning of one technique and transition to the end of another, as a starting point for inspiration. You may also try thinking of a different attack leading into a technique, or another variation on the curriculum material.Your water demo may include a ground technique as well as one or two for knife and/or hanbo.
Red/Black
The primary purpose of your demo is to demonstrate mastery of Fire. The demo should consist of 6-8 techniques. You may base the techniques on ones that you have learned in blue/red class, but must interpret them in your own way. It is helpful to take the beginning of one technique and transition to the end of another, as a starting point for inspiration. You may also try thinking of a different attack leading into a technique, or another variation on the curriculum material. Your fire demo may include a ground technique as well as one or two for knife and/or hanbo.
Green/Black
The primary purpose of your demo is to demonstrate mastery of Wind. The demo should consist of 7-9 techniques. You may base the techniques on ones that you have learned in class, but must interpret them in your own way. It is helpful to take the beginning of one technique and transition to the end of another, as a starting point for inspiration. You may also try thinking of a different attack leading into a technique, or another variation on the curriculum material. Your fire demo may include a ground techniques, kusari, knife and hanbo. Multiple attackers are discouraged.
Brown/White and Brown
The primary purpose of your demo is to demonstrate an understanding of Void: the correct element for the correct moment. The demo should consist of 8-10 techniques. You may base the techniques on ones that you have learned in class, but must interpret them in your own way. It is helpful to take the beginning of one technique and transition to the end of another, as a starting point for inspiration. You may also try thinking of a different attack leading into a technique, or another variation on the curriculum material. Your brown belt demos may include a ground techniques, kusari, knife and hanbo.
